It’s Showtime, Folks! (The Final Cut)

Welcome to the Hub-Post of the Fossethon, devoted to film and stage director/choreographer Bob Fosse.

AND HERE’S WHAT WE HAVE…

* The first entry is from this blogathon’s biggest online supporter, Artswom of SkyArts fame, who is singlehandedly bringing FtY’s version of Fossemania to the UK — and has actually got SkyArts channel to run the TV special “Fosse” to coincide with this blogathon, quite possibly making a very small piece of blogosphere history. Many fine links to be found therein as well. Thanks again, Artswom. You have made a big difference to this blogateer.

* My three part megapost covering Fosse’s frequently disregarded first and last films. It’s kind of a case of “The Ecstasy and the Agony.” Parts I, II, and III are now available for your manic-depressive pressure.

* My final long, serious post of the blogathon, covering the balance of Bob Fosse’s work as a movie director, and discussing a pair of biographies..

* Friend of FtY and Fossethon supporter from way back, Karina Longworth of Spoutblog, writes about the travails of digging up a copy of Star 80 and, even without seeing it, has plenty to say — and even digs up an unauthorized sequel via YouTube. Very cool.

* My final, less serious, more fun Fossethon post is up, in which I go through the closet and find a few more great YouTube links.

* The world famous Nathaniel R. of The Film Experience has entered All That Jazz in his canon. He tells me he didn’t exactly write it for the Fossethon (he was working on it already), but I’m declaring it Fossethonized whether he wants me to or not. I’ll take what I can get.

* A quick wrap up post in which I think all the great people who helped on this little venture.

AND DON’T FORGET…PREPARATORY POSTS WITH EXTRA NUTRITIOUS YOUTUBE LINKS (in chronological order):

* Two Deaths, a Bob, a Blogathon, and the Rhythm of Life

* “Everything Old is New Again”

* “Give Me a Band and My Baby”

* Have a Very Fosse Halloween

* Bob Blogosphere History?

* Fossemania, Minus 2

* Tomorrow Belongs to Bob (Fosse)
