A Message to North Carolina (updated 2x)
I’ve been pretty absent here over the last several days. For that you can blame the election — not just obscessing at TPM and 538, but even a little (but not enough) actual phone banking/neighbor-to-neighboring — as well as my initial forays into the strange world of substitute teaching with the attendant schedule-adjustments and circadian rhythm mayhem. Oh, and I’ve been seeing the dentist a lot lately, learning the wonders of this thing they call “root canal.” I’m also trying to get caught up on my back-Mad Men viewing. (It’s for work!) Still, YouTube remains the lazy blogger’s friend, so I have the following message for all 12 of the people from North Carolina who visited me this last month and stayed an average of approximately eight seconds. (H/t Dkos.)
And, yeah, I know I still owe Brian Doan — who has some naughty election-related giggles posted at his place — the rest of my 12 films….
Update: And sometimes, the best election comedy is self-generated, featuring a non-appearance by the Spartacus of the dittohead set….
H/t slinkerwink.
And another update: Documentary filmmaker Eugene Jarecki at HuffPo has some potent personal encounters with Mr. McCain and his right hand to relate, more in sadness than in anger.
